Project Manager in Diego Suarez for House Construction
Location: Diego Suarez (Antsiranana), Madagascar
Project Site: Near Montagne des Français
We are looking for a local Project Manager to lead the development of a private beachfront holiday home in Diego Suarez, Madagascar.
This is a unique opportunity to manage the full construction process of a high-quality beach property in one of Madagascar’s most beautiful coastal locations — with the potential for long-term collaboration after completion.
Phase 1 (Year 1): Construction Management
During the first year, your primary responsibility will be to manage the complete building process from planning to completion.
Your Responsibilities
Obtain and compare offers from:
Architects
Construction companies
Contractors and craftsmen
Suppliers (local and international)
Transport and logistics providers
Evaluate quotations and negotiate terms
Coordinate international sourcing and organize transport to Madagascar
Manage timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Supervise on-site progress in Diego Suarez
Report regularly to the project initiators in English
This role requires strong organizational skills, independent working ability, and hands-on coordination on site.
Phase 2: Property Management (Optional Long-Term Role)
After the construction is completed, there is the possibility of continuing collaboration as:
Manager of the holiday house for guest rentals
Responsibilities may include:
Guest coordination
Operational management
Maintenance supervision
Local staff coordination
Ongoing improvements and optimization

Requirements
Malagasy national
Currently living in Diego Suarez (Antsiranana)
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Strong internet and communication skills
Own laptop
Mobile phone with reliable internet access
Ability to work independently and responsibly
Preferred Qualifications (Advantage)
Experience in construction projects
Experience in logistics or international sourcing
Background in tourism or hospitality projects
Strong local network in Diego Suarez (suppliers, craftsmen, service providers)
Negotiation and project coordination experience
